Grade 4s explore the history of Somerset West

The Grade 4s visited the Stellenbosch museum this term where they experienced how the Dutch and British lived when they first arrived at the Cape. We had our very own bus tour which included sightings of the national monuments in Somerset West. We ended our tour with a trip to Sir Lowry's Pass where the children hiked up to the ox-wagon trails. It was amazing to see the carvings imbedded in the rocks from when the ox-wagons crossed the mountains.
